Solitude and the man-altered landscape.

I hate crowds. I don’t care how famous or beautiful or important a place is, if it involves crowds and a wait on line, I am out of there. But a place where man has left his mark and moved on … that’s my idea of destination-heaven. The Memorial Cemetery of Puerto Rico, nestled between the tourist districts of Isla Verde and the Condado, is the kind of place I like to wander.
